Cake Stands by Lisa
A three tiered cake stand bedecked with a delicious selection of savoury and sweet treats is the crown in any afternoon tea setting.
One fan of a decadent centrepiece is Lisa Archer. Her story began during lockdown. Inspired by the much enjoyed, Escape to the Chateau, Lisa was mesmerised by Angel making her own cake stand from vintage plates. Encouraged by her husband, they decided to have a go at making their own cake stand. One cake stand lead to another and Lisa’s daughter suggested that they should sell them on Facebook. Lisa was doubtful about this but gave it a go and was delighted to receive an order.
Looking forward, she decided to investigate markets and took a pitch at The Great British Food Festival in the summer and then ventured to her local shopping centre in Hull every month. Fast forward and over 700 cake stands later, she has a full order book and has supplied cafes all across the UK!
She searches near and far for her vintage plates in addition to new dinner services. She has made so many cake stands and with such a variety, there is always something to catch the eye.
