Afternoon tea at Hopetoun House provides an opportunity to experience a traditional British dining experience in one of Scotland’s most beautiful stately homes. On the outskirts of Edinburgh, Hopetoun House sits in the historical town of South Queensferry in West Lothian, a short distance from the town’s colourful cobbled High Street with quaint shops nestling under the mighty Forth Road and Rail bridges.

Afternoon tea is served in The Stables, a breathtaking courtyard complete with stalls, original stone flooring and wrought iron candle scones. The tea menu offers bijou gourmet sandwiches, freshly made savoury bites and delicious sweet treats and fruit scones served with a generous helping of organic cream and Hopetoun strawberry jam. This is served with a pot of loose leaf tea, speciality coffee or a rich Belgian chocolate. A glass of champagne can be added to add a little sparkle.

Children are welcome and can take part in the ritual of afternoon tea with a child friendly afternoon tea designed especially for small fingers.
Those with dietary requirements are catered for too with gluten free and vegetarian dishes. Just let the know in advance.

Stables Tearoom is open from 27 March until 25 September 2016.
Please note Hopetoun House and the Stables Tearoom will be closed on Sunday 1 May 2016.
